CTET photographJPG/JPEG10KB–100KB3.5 × 4.5 cm; ratio-preserving working export 413 × 531 pxUse a latest photograph. The bulletin specifies centimetres rather than pixels, so treat this as a ratio-preserving working export and verify the portal preview.
CTET signatureJPG/JPEG3KB–30KB3.5 × 1.5 cm; working export 413 × 177 pxUse a clear signature scan and preserve the required wide aspect ratio.

Good preparation examples

  • A portrait photograph using the 3.5:4.5 aspect ratio.
  • A wide, tightly cropped signature using the 3.5:1.5 aspect ratio.

Common upload errors

Correct KB but wrong proportions

Use the separate photo or signature preset because CTET checks dimensions as well as file size.

Signature is enlarged and blurry

Start with a sharp scan and avoid upscaling a tiny source.

Applying the September preset to another session

Open that session's bulletin first; CBSE can revise the requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Are the pixel values official CTET requirements?

No. The bulletin specifies centimetres, not pixels. The working pixel presets preserve the published proportions; the centimetre dimensions and portal preview remain authoritative.

Does CTET September 2026 use live-photo capture?

The checked bulletin instructs candidates to upload a latest scanned photograph and signature; it does not replace the photograph with a live-capture step.

Not sure whether the file is ready?

Run the downloaded output through the Universal Form File Checker and compare it with the active official instructions before submission.
