File Handling Policy
Security, Processing and Retention Standards
At UploadReady.in, we respect the confidentiality of your documents, passport photos, scanned signatures, and certificates. This policy explains exactly how your files are processed, where they are converted, and how long they remain on our infrastructure.
100% Client-Side Tools
Core photo resizers, signature resizers, and image compressors run entirely inside your browser sandbox using local client-side canvas and WebAssembly APIs. Your images are never uploaded to our servers.
Secure Server-Side Tools
Dynamic tools like PDF compression, PDF merging, splitting, and conversions require secure server-side engines. Files are transferred over TLS/SSL and temporarily cached in encrypted disks.
1. Strictly Automatic 1-Hour Deletion
For tools that process files on our backend servers, your source uploads and the generated output files are subject to a strict 1-hour retention policy.
- An automated, server-level cron utility runs every minute to scan file structures.
- Files that reach 60 minutes of lifetime are permanently erased from disk.
- Files cannot be recovered, restored, or accessed once deleted.
2. Industry Standard Transit Security
All interactions between your browser and our processing nodes are secured with **SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS)** forcing 256-bit keys. This prevents man-in-the-middle attacks, ensuring your marksheet or identity card remains protected during transit.
3. Zero Human Intervention
File processing is fully automated. No administrator, developer, or developer-level script ever inspects or views your document content. The files are parsed programmatically by open-source libraries and wiped.
Warning for Sensitive Documents
While we use security best practices, no public online service is appropriate for top-secret, highly proprietary, or exceptionally sensitive business documents. If you have proprietary data that cannot be transferred to a remote server under any circumstances, we advise utilizing local offline utilities instead.
4. Clear User Control
You have full control over the tools you choose to use. You can easily see in our tool dashboards whether processing runs locally on your computer/phone or securely on our processing nodes.
